Why Chronohaven

What Sets the Atelier Apart

A few things that matter when you hand over a watch you value.

Plain Findings

Every assessment is explained in straightforward terms. You know what was found, what was done, and what was left unchanged — and why.

Documented Results

Movement servicing includes timing figures at handover. You leave with a record, not just a watch.

Paced Work

We do not rush. Complex revivals take the time they need. You are kept informed at each stage without having to chase for updates.

Appropriate Tools

Specialist watchmaking instruments for disassembly, cleaning, and regulation — not adapted general repair tools.

Clear Pricing

Service prices are stated before any work begins. If the scope changes, so does the conversation — you decide how to proceed.

Sympathetic Approach

Inherited pieces carry history. We work with that in mind — preserving patina where appropriate and replacing only what is needed.

Would you like us to take a look?

Questions

A Few Things People Ask

How do I know which service my watch needs?
Bring the watch in and we will assess it at no charge. We describe what we find, explain what each option involves, and let you decide. There is no obligation to proceed after an assessment.
How long does a movement service take?
A water-resistance check and reseal typically takes a few working days. A movement tune usually takes one to two weeks. Heirloom revisions vary depending on the condition of the piece, but we give a realistic estimate at assessment and keep you informed through the process.
Do you work on all watch brands?
We work on most mechanical and automatic watches, including Swiss, Japanese, and vintage pieces. If a watch requires brand-specific tooling or parts that are not available to independent workshops, we will tell you clearly rather than attempt a service we cannot complete properly.
Are the prices on the website the final price?
The listed prices reflect standard scope. If assessment reveals additional work — a worn component or a harder-to-source part — we discuss that with you before any extra work is done. Nothing proceeds without your agreement.
Is it worth servicing an old family watch?
Often, yes. Many older mechanical watches were built to run for generations with periodic care. Whether it makes sense depends on the condition of the movement and what you hope for from the piece. We assess honestly and do not encourage work that would not serve the watch well.
How do I get my watch to you?
The workshop is on Sukhumvit Road, Khlong Toei — accessible by BTS. We are open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 to 18:00. You are welcome to visit by appointment or drop in during opening hours. If you have questions before visiting, send a message or call.
